Prone to wear where the spindle meets the body which leads to airleaks and difficulty tuning if you try to do it at tickover.
Never seem to hang on to the oil in the dashpot very long!
Very tuneable, with a file!
Easy to understand and thus sort out if they go wrong.
Confess I do quite like 'em
