A few weeks ago, I had hooked up to my caravan and switched on all my lights to check they were working. I walked to the back of the caravan and they were going through a sequence showing each set of lights one after another. I have no idea what I did to produce this result but it was a great help in doing this routine check. Unfortunately, I have been unable to repeat it. Has anyone any idea how to do this?

I think I'd rather do a walk around, sommat else to go wrong!!
What else is there to go wrong? The lights are controlled by the computer in sequence rather than switches.

I think its a great idea and should be extended to the car's lights. It would make a walk around before a MOT to check the lights so much easier. And mean you might check them between MOTs to.

oh, you mean like once a week? ;)

I actually think an auto light check is a pretty good thing when you on your own.

How about this then.

Personnally if you cant reverse a trialer dont tow 1 forward in the first place. I actually find it easier with the big trailers than the little 1.

We actaully have a trailer light tester thing, you plug it in to the tralier socket and push a button it gives green lights if all the lights are good.
Handy bit of kit.
Does the car plug too:).

Back it up to a wall or use a windows on a quiet street as it gets darker…
You have obviously not toured the countryside. I am currently heading for the North of Scotland. Walls and windows are far between. Thanks for the chat everyone. I shall persist in my attempts to repeat the event and let you know if I succeed.

Well that was disappointing...Obviously my FL2 is just the wrong level of sophistication as I can find nothing in the menu to trigger the light show. Would have been really useful as my regular co-pilot seems to think that standing directly behind the caravan is the perfect place to let me know if the lights are all working. She then gets cross when I ring her mobile to explain her error and shouts from her hidden position, waking up the entire campsite.

Must make sure she doesn't read my posts
