hi guy's,another problem now,car dosen't seem to be shutting down properly, that's two day's in a row that the battery has been flat, what's happening is, on the message centre it say's interior light's on and beeps then say's interior lights off and beeps without me touching anything, most times they must be going off but sometimes they must stay on and if this happens a couple times during the night the car wont go to sleep hence why iam getting flat battery, has anybody got any idea's on this, i know that the reciever in the back might be playing up and that wont let the car go to sleep, what wire do you disconect to fix that.cheer's pat.

Hi Pat, disconnect the single blue wire. If that doesn't fix it, the receiver might be completely knackered. Don't leave it too long because if the receiver is knackered it might start locking and unlocking the doors and burn out the lock motors.

datatecs right, its happened to mine.best disconnect the r/f completely[both plugs]and use the key until you get the latest reciever.dont get one of fleabay, you carnt tell the difference between older or latest models.

hi,keith, tom,i will do that tommorrow, what would be making the interior lights come on,cheer's pat.

Because of the car's electrics the whole thing could be linked. There are microswitches on the lock mechanism in the doors. These are what trigger the interior lights. Once you've disconnected the RF receiver, always the best place to start, then I suggest that you have a look inside the driver's door - it's the one that gets the most use - and check and clean the mechanism and the microswitches.

The next place that I'd check would be the tailgate, it not closing tightly can cause funny things.

Don't know if they are all the same, but on mine when you unlock the doors with the FOB, the interior lights come on, you don't have to open the door for this to happen. So if the RF receiver is playing up, it may be causing the doors to partially or fully unlock which would turn on the interior lights:)

....the message centre it say's interior light's on and beeps then say's interior lights off and beeps without me touching anything......

Could this be the front interior light center button has got stuck in or shorted? Isn't this how you turn all the interior lights on/off by holding the button in until the dash says "Interior lights on/off"?
