capstan winch

i have a FWL capstan winch fiited to my Series 3 diesel, ive just bought a disco 200tdi, just wondered if anyone has similar winch fitted to their series 2-3 with a 200tdi and do they fit without any mods required.

im thinking as blocks and mounts fairly close match should fit? hopefully?

Yes have one on mine , the only issue was capstan drive dog .The 200tdi crank end threads are recessed quite away in and the drive dog that I had threads where not long enough to guarantee that the pulley could be torqued up to the required torque.
Ended up getting HNJ Engineering to make me a 50mm long special bolt to fit there drive dog.See attached pdf.

That pdf is a great help and reassuring too that not too much to worry about, what engine mountings did you use, Glencoyne reccomend defender mounts to make things a bit quieter but again not sure if these may relocate engine in a different position than using series engine mounts

I do have the defender engine mounts from Glencoyne.no problem with height of shaft.
