can't start, won't start

my series 2 disco, auto, was left for 3 weeks and when i came to start it the battery was flat and even failed an attempt to turn over.....i now have an icon on my instrument panel-next to the milage that i dont understand. its a rectangle with a diagonal line and a bar. Anyone know what this represents?......need to get the car going so i can sell it pay for my new one!!!!!!!

i have searched high and low in the manual, then it hit me.
like mine yours is an automatic. only symbol next to the mileage is that of the gear selected. this is particular to autos.
tried to replicate it but without any luck.

it would suggest that no gear is selected.
remember it will only start in park or neutral.

have tried moving gears but it does not register anything else...........nothing in instruction manual

have you got it started yet ?

if so have a play about with the high and low ratios and the sport mode button.

i am, to be honest in the dark, and these are what i would do if it was me.
