So if it has a live pin, you could rig up a charger
I’ll try that tomorrow it has a live straight to the battery so I’ll give it a go I’ve got a spare battery on charge now so really appreciate your help I’ll let you know if it works cheers again for getting back

Sorry to revive this old lost but I've a similar issue on my 2001 Freelander and I'm out of idea. I've a flat battery and the manual drive side lock is broken...I had planned to fix it during the summer holidays but the battery gone flat first :(
The big problem is that I tried to remove the 10mm bolts under the bonnet but I've strippes badly the last one.
I've also tried to give 12V from the taillight but no luck.
Is there any other sensible way to access to a power line where I can give power to the central unit or recharge a bit the battery? ( I don't have a towbar)

Yes apply power to the starter main power lead.
You'll need to remove the sump guard to get to the start from below, and depending on what engine is fitted, depends on where the starter is located. On some engines, the alternator main output terminal is easier for battery charging and low current vehicle power.
