Recently I had a wheel bearing colapse which then knackered my CV, and the whole wheel - long story lol

Anyways, now all sorted, and had to sort out the brakes as had the ABS light on - new sensor fitted job done - ABS light now goes off when you drive.

However, have tried to clear the fault codes so the light flashes when you put on the ignition like before, but can I heck clear the 1-2 fault code - I am doing everything I did before when I got the Disco and cleared the fault codes - bridging pins 4 and 15, and then removing them when the code flashes...

So how many codes can it actually store, as I am sure I have done it over 50 times now.....any idea's?

isnt 1-2 the test code thingy? 1 long then 2 short? if so then it cant be cleared, its supposed to be there.

i cant remember the fault codes tho so i may be wrong

nah, it does the 1 flash, then 1 flash, then goes into the fault reading mode, which is when I get the 1-2 code.

I know there is a fault logged as the light doesn't flash when I put on the ignition.

I know its not major, as everything works, but its really annoying me

ah my bad, not at my workshop so not got the ABS codes to hand.

what is code 1-2? maybe there is still a fault there but its not affecting the ABS system? when i replaced a sensor last month i cleared all the codes and drove the car fine, light went out as it should. only when i finished the test drive i realised i'd forgot to plug the relay back in

dont know off top of head what a 1-2 is, and my wabco manuals at the shop too.
would be interested to know how many faults they can store too, and a mass delete method if one exists!
ps, you shouldnt need to pull the relay, can be read and deleted with it in.

There is no such fault code as 1-2 on the list, fault codes are beginnig with 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6. I think its some kind of system bug and after the start sequence (1-1) its entering and repeating the correct operation mode.

according to the manual(i dont wanna contradict mr. nrgserv) u have to remove the ABS warning lamp relay before u access the codes and refit it after u've erased them.

I think the best way to sort this out is to plug it in a tester when u'll have the chance.

I read that too but it makes no difference and works just as well with the relay fitted. I can read and clear the codes in a couple of minutes now.

I'm not disavowing that....never did, (just quoted the manual).....i'm wondering why have they included that in the procedure though:confused:

cheers dave.
we found accidentally, when we cleared a code then remembered we had pulled it.
dont even bother looking for the relay now.

edit.
but i did notice that there wasnt a 1-2 on the computer doc i had saved, but as the manual was at workshop with all the codes, werent prepared to commit to this.
