Disco 2 can you use a HAWKEYE to ....

Hi all

Ive got a HAWKEYE which i personally think is spot on !!!!!
But I'm just wondering can you use it to programme a key fob?
i got it second hand so have no instructions with it,so not 100% sure what i can and cant do with it ,but dont want to try to do something and brake something lol

Hi, Hawkeye is on the original T4 protocol used by main dealers which doesnt allow you to programm used fobs based on the short code, you need the long barcode, but you have the programming menu in BCU - Transmitters and if you have the short code try to use the linked converter and maybe it works: http://goo.gl/br9fS , i've seen cases when the converter helped others when not but iirc when it didnt work other(rover) fob was involved not a D2 one
