Can you straight swap a series rear screen for a deffender?

Hello:)
I have a custom build with a range rover classic shortened modified 80" chassis, series 3 rear tub with defender tailgate, custom v8 consisting of a Buick block, high lift cam, rover heads and SU carbs.
It has a deffender front end to fit the v8 in and a series 2 cab with a 2a bulkhead. Coilover trial gas shocks.
The wheels come up to my waist and the rear tub to my shoulder:)
The only issue is the doors arnt lineng up correctly:( they line up between the bulkhead and the rear tub but not above the top of the door just overlaps the rear screenat the top. Any ideas?

Welcome to lz matey nice wee project you have ;)
My first thought would be that the tub needs lifted to give more clearance very hard to see since the pic is
taken from wrong angle to see what's going on.

Cheers Kev

What are your measurements like?

How much attention did you pay to the dimensions when you started fabricobbling this thing together?

I'm not immune from making mistakes, sadly :(

But I was looking at it and the roof looks low at the back which says the tub is low, bad pic to tell much of anything though

Agreed not the best pic & ive never had a RR classic so I cant comment on the chassis lay out but if the doors are overlapping
at the top it stands to reason the tub is low (I may be wrong also) ;)

Thanks guys i did think the roof was low at the back just wasnt sure what the cause was. sorry bit dark outside at the moment will try to get a few more pics tomorrow
