Can the frame for the rear tub be repaired??

I'm working on a series 3 landrover and I am currently at the rear tub, the frame pieces that are spot welded onto the tub lining are corroded cracked to the point where they bend really easily. I thought if you made 3 small rectangles of metal and rivited it onto each side of the crack. Once all is built up again will there be any issues?

Not sure which pieces you are talking about.
But have you looked at these guys, apparently very good stuff.

I think you are talking about the top hat sections, when I repaired my swb tub I bought a length from a local metal supplier , got some correct spec aluminium sheet cut to size and bought new cross braces as in link above
