Can you retro fit a heated front scenn in a TD5?

I'm asking as I'm after a 110 csw but would like the heated front screen, are the wiring looms all the same so that I could change the screen and replace with a heated?
 
If you did go down the insurance route how would that work? Heated screens are not standard equip, wouldnt they know you were bull****tin? I would love to do it as my screen is scratched to **** and want the upgrade. but i dunno :( i dont like getting in trouble :D

cant you speak to the fitter and pay the extra ? (if you go to a local registered fitter sure he could work it out for you ;) )

if you talk to a local 1 he will advise you
back a few years ago i had 1 go on my old passat, phoned my insurance broker and they said get a recognized fitter to do it and he will claim from the insurer (you pay your windscreen exccess)
best thing to do is ask a fitter a hipathetical question :rolleyes: ;)
