Is it possiblke to change the rf frequency at all to stop the interference that diaables the engine.....?
Ill throw in Chery Cole for anyone who can help and some ear plugs..

Nope.. You can change the RF receiver though. Usually what causes the problem, especially if your near a lot of wireless networks, wireless doorbells, etc.
 
disable the rf reciever.. just means you will have to be closer to the car to use the fob. i think ! search threads for disabling rf reciever

you can keep cheryl cole that accent would drive me loopy

Yes I had the same problem with my range, whenever I visited certain areas in London the car would disable and wouldn't allow me to use my key fob with the message Engine disabled.....

I am led to believe there is a fix for this in changing the receiver, a small black box as mentioned above that sits in the boot on the drivers side close to the (if fitted sat nav player/ reader) and you will just need to buy a new receiver that has a different frequency.

The part number is YWY500170- which according to the chap at Stratstones they have had no problem with - hope that helps - :)
