Hi chaps (and girls?)

I have a 2000 P30 4.0v8, i have a slight coolant leak, i can see it but have no idea what the part is called, or does, and so have no idea on how to fix it!

If somebody could tell me what it is and some pointers on getting it sorted that would be great, it looks like it is just the gasket failed....

it is a plastic thing sh.it i cant remember its name, cost around £8 i put one on mine last year. its only a 5 min job..

Air flowing through a restriction (the throttle body) then expanding into a large volume (the plenum chamber) causes a depression and cooling of the air as the air slows down and expands entering the plenum. Therefore it is, if the conditions are right, quite possible to freeze the throttle body in this country. Rare i would think but possible never the less.

You just gotta love the smartasses here:p

Ok it has nothing to do with throttle body. Truth is when Land Rover made the V8s they could only get two short lengths of pipe instead of a long one, so they put the little thingy under the throttle body to connect them to.

Ok great thanks for the help. I guess i'll try replacing the gasket, if its a real pain of a job ten i'll bypass it. A couple of questions:

1. I am assuming that replacing the gasket is an easy job? any pointers?
2. If i bypass it then i am assuming that you join the flow and return pipes together with the pipe insert? Any idea where i would get such a thing?

Thanks

JB
