The screen goes blank while driving and I understand the reasons behind this, but I'm rigging up a simple reversing camera for attaching a trailer to the tow-bar solo so I need to be able to manoeuvre with the screen still active.

Is this possible?

Cheers ;)

or disconect the handbreak sensor and ground that wire.....
very illegal.... if an accident happend god forbid your insurance would be null and void... my advice don't do it.... i have a pioneer av system in mine and yes ive been tempted.. listen to my concert dvds in the car.
not worth the risk.
my own personal oppinian anyway

you could just learn the size of yer vehicle then you could reverse onto yer trailer as most people i know do. even me 14 yo can do it ..all you need do then is jump out lift jockey wheel and secure hitch.
am pretty sure thats how it wur done in the old days before reverse cameras was invented.

i agree ,, but they can be a bugger to do when you can't see the back of the
trailer or the sides for that matter.....

my advice. go to a car park with some cones and have a practice in and out...... or buy a bigger trailer or a CARAVAN!!!!!

if yer trailer is that small then you can always just pull it into place or stick some white plastic tubes on the corners, so you can see them in yer mirrors which also helps no-end when yer trying to reverse a silly wee trailer
