Can anyone identify this shaft?

I recently bought an ex-military series 3 109 and it has quite a few bits and pieces with it...most of which are easily identified. However, I've no idea what this shaft is. Can anyone help me to identify it? My best guess is that it's an extension shaft for something...but I've no idea what!

Thanks for your reply, but are you sure? I would have expected the cranking handle to be a solid bar, not a tube and she already has a one piece cranking handle. I'm not able to check to see if it fits, because the vehicle isn't with me yet.

Is it part of a PTO connection for a capstan winch, maybe?

As far as I'm aware all crank handles have a double pin to locate in the socket on the crank pulley.

Possibly part of a PTO shaft, capstans drive shafts have a u/j iirc

Thanks for your suggestions.
I just googled capstan winch drive shaft and it appears to have a spherical end, so I don't think it's that.
The mystery continues.......

That pin has gone through the shaft, if you stick it in the vice it will tap back through to be equal, hand crank was tubular.

Doesn't look sufficiently HD enough for PTO part from Rover, they over engineered stuff like that thank god.

You could be right, I've never seen a two part crank handle but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

Well it sounds like I need to try it in place. I don't have the landy by me yet...it's being prepared for shipping to me...but I'll ask someone to try it and let you know! I'm in the process of figuring out which bits are worth shipping with the vehicle and which aren't.
Thanks for your help...
