can any one help

iv just got a 1972 series 3 landy but its been messed about with alot
it was a 2.25 petrol but has been converted to a 2.25 deisel i think they have wired up the glow plugs wrong i have a big brown wirer runing from the golw plugs to the live on the starting motor and a brown wirer to a switch on the dashbord is this right or do i need to change it all about

Actually, what you could try is asking a question two different places and then buggering off without bothering to acknowledge a reply.
