Can anyone reccomend good 4x4 friendly campsites in Central/North Derbyshire...

Main Priorites....
Will be needed for groups of 20/30ish vehicles/tents.
Good beer/food nearby
Allow dogs and the odd ankle snapper/rugrat
Allow a fire/bbq etc
Will probably need space for a few caravans as well.

Any suggestions very welcome...preferably cheap as well

Cheers.

Callow Top, near Ashbourne, has it's own onsite brewery - what more do you want ?

Use there with the kids in summer...nice site if you dont mind paying through the nose to be sqashed onto smallest pitches Ive ever seen and paying through nose for the pleasure...last time couldnt even fit motor and tent on corner pitch...must admit beer good though.

hi, we've used Laneside campsite at Hope, Hope Valley. We were also gonna use it for a 40th birthday with hog roast and mucho beer ! (about 50 - 60 of us) give the guy a ring he has a separate field possibly big enough to accomadate, excellent facilities, and good pubs within walking distance. dogs (and kids) welcome, I'm sure he'll help out if he can..... but book early! ended up having our party weekend in Blackpool ! it was'nt my idea of fun but hey !
