I regularly have the joy of parking the D2 in Bath. Anyone familiar with Bath's streets will know that on-street parking spaces tend to be pretty tight.

Whilst i'm more than happy reversing into tight parking bays, onto a slightly awkward drive, etc, the lack of decent rear visibility on a D2 does make parking on-street rather fun

So... i've been thinking about installing some form of rear parking aid. Not because I need it, but because it will mean I can squeeze into tighter spaces with the confidence that i'm not about to hit something.

The big question is - sensors or camera? And any recommendations?

I have just had the same issue at home! The idiots who park here don't think about anyone else but themselves and whilst I could squeeze in the gap a Tailgate mounted camera could work just to make it a bit easier

Maplin do a 2 sensor kit, £35. Dead easy to install and works very well, comes with the holesaw for your drill. I mounted them in the 2 little parts of the bumper that protrude.

Cameras good but you have to look at the screen, sensors better as you look where you are going and take note of the beeps, some practice and you can be very accurate

Take out the passenger lamp cluster and it's a straight run to the rear of the bumper. The only reversing mirrors I could find were hundreds of pounds!
