cam belt and water pump

The above items will be replaced late January. Are there
Any makes I should avoid?
Or can you guys recomend where I get the parts from?
They are for my 02 1.8

Britpart are one company I will never use again.
Quinton hazel is a waterpump with good reputations.
An Delphi an dayco are a common good brand to use.

Have u tried calling your local Independant LR dealer see what they supply and charge. Sometimes surprising.

lr dealer ? britpart and bearmach sell genuine usually a lot cheaper than a dealer just add g after number

Just remember there are 2 lengths of belt for the K4 depending on the type of tensioner fitted.

One length is more common but I can't remember which one it is

145 teeth for the auto tensioner 143 for the manual , would think an 02 would be an auto tensioner - pointy bit on the tensioner and a hex adjuster .

(automatic tensioning )
- 145 teeth x 26mm wide

(manual tensioning)
- 143 teeth x 23mm wide

If you buy them from Euro Car Parts you can just return the one you don't need. We do it all the time. Both jobs quite simple, did mine both myself when I removed the EWP.

Haven't driven the Hippo in months though. The battery must be dead as a dead duck by now.
