quality's **** innit? had to reduce everything so much it made it bad. that last pic i had to try and winch through trees as it was the only direct line and we didnt have a snatch block to hand.

Thas not laning, that's pay & play. Now, shoot me in the bollix if yer like, but when there's that much winching it dunt float me boat so much. It becomes a bit like just practising yer recovery technique. It isn't down to driving, it's then just mainly down to battery life and recharge rate.

There's mud & then there's MUD!

yer i agree with you marcus. we got there and didnt expect it ALL to be like that. i only got my winch up and running on the saturday and my mate only got his sorted a week or so ago. we wanted to try them out, but not ALL Day! lucky we had them though or we would have been relying on other landy's for help.

my mate summed it up quite nicely: "you might as well fix a winch to a ford KA and winch that about" cos it didnt matter what vehicle you were in, you were gonna get stuck and need a pulling.

i have to say, i was well impressed with my warn M8000. it got me and some others out of everything. i did doubt the fact that an 8000lb winch would pull (single line) me out of some hefty stuff. but it was awesome. i saw a 9,500LB T Max struggle to move a rangie... we had to tow him in the end.

proof in the pudding... buy a warn or superwinch.

Certainly gave yer new winches a work out then. Did they say it was always that thick with it down there? If so might give club with no name or 4x4 without a club or whatever they're called a go furst.
