Lovely Shropshire...
Hi all, :clap2:.
I have been on here a while living in the Discovery section but due to good times i am now back in the Range Rover section and will be in the Freelander section if you guys don't put me off. I am going to look at a 2.0 Xe di Hard back.
I don't mind little things/problems but would like any links or helpful comments....excluding "don't buy one" will be appreciated...

Quite happy to get the spanners out, all ways had land rovers from Series 3 lightweight to current L322.

All ready read about scrubbing that turned out to be low tyre pressure.

Cheers, Nick.

most important is to check the vcu first and the rear diff and ird if those are ok then you can go forward check all windows wind down ,get a diesel if you can if not check it has the head gasket done on a petrol one, rarely the body rots on a freelander so all should be ok ,the next thing is to check around the mounting points where the back sub frame fits if there are any cracks ,these can be done no problem I think I have covered all the major things but with any car things can go wrong even with a RR

Ok...so i was right last night walk away from one that was very scabby underneath...i think it was either coastal or a farm hack.

If you guys can be bothered, pickies or direction to some would be brill.

Hi again..
Ok. Thanks re tyres, similar to discovery.
How much rust should i expect to see?
Ere's a pic of me boot floor. 13.5 years old and still rust free.

Little bit of rust is ok. It's major rust like bulkhead and floor panels that Freelanders dun't suffer with. :p
