Hi all

Just a quick one, from reading on here am I firstly correct in thinking I can replace an injector and it doesnt need coding to the car of anything like that?

Secondly if I bought one say from ebay do part numbers have to match or anything or can I just buy a 'TD4' injector?

Just wanted to clarify a few things before i empty my wallet.

It doesn't need coding, and you can just replace one (good luck).

Probably best to match the part numbers as there are different injectors for manual and auto variants, I think.

Just replaced all 4 of mine.

The injector partnumber for my 2005 Td4 manual is: STC4555 as quoted by the Land Rover dealer.

I went to a Bosch Diesel Service specialist and got partnumber 0986435095.

Runs great.

I have had a nightmare buying injectors off eBay - finally sorted by going to City Electro Diesel in Swansea and bought recon exchange ones for £140 ea.

Right then after taking my freelander to a landrover specialist in Liverpool for diagnostics and to reset mt Srs light, my injectors are totally fine. I have a slight miss upto about 1500 rpm. It was fine again last week but this week has it back. wiring loom fault the bloke said it could be.

Is there a good place in the UK to buy decent injectors for a 04 model.

I have one duff and likely the other 3 are ****e as well so putting out feelers to what's a good place.

I can feel the wallet raping already..
