hi guys and gals, looking at venturing into the world of land rover. looking at getting a freelander, series 2 td 3 door manual. i've seen a few on ebay and autotrader that look promising but thought i'd check on here with a few more knowledgeable people about what i should look out for. i know a bit about cv joints, wheel bearings warped discs etc but dont know much about the 4 wheel drive drive chain.
the car i'm looking at is a 04 plate td with 53k on it.....
any thoughts, hints and tips glad fully received.

it's not a freelander 2, as per skynets pos, it's a freelander 1 facelift,

loads on here as to what to look for. td4 engine is the one to go for, auto if you can.

had mine for 5 years now, got to 110k miles, still going strong (ish).

had a couple of bits done for the mot (new bracket welded onto rear silencer, diesel leak in fuel line) but generally all ok.

had a courtesy freelander 1 today with 138k on the clock, still drove fine.
