Does any body know the part number of the bush that sits in the back of the stub axle on earlier Defenders? the CV joint bit of the drive shaft runs in it and there's an oil seal immediatly behind it. I think it was replaced on later models by a needle roller bearing. Any how I can't find eather on any of the web sites.

have you tried yer local bearing and seal factors???
i find they can get most seals and bearings and at a fraction of the cost
just dunt go asking for a landy part, get the number off the bearing or seal and give them that. they'll cross ref the fooker and get you the right bit

most seals and bearing are a standard size and therefore readily availible from bearing factors...
i once priced a wheel bearing fer a trans am and it wur about 45 quid from rodley motors but only a fiver from the bearing place. so now the first place i go fer bearing, seals and belts is the bearing, seal and belt place
