On a serious note though, I am looking at selling the D2 as the original need for it has passed. The D1 does all the towing I need it to and I would not ever take the D2 the same places (deep dark woods - I'm a tree surveyour). If anyone is interested in it I can send photos etc. It's an ES with four DVD screens and seperate radio headphones etc fitted and every toy you could ever want. Good clean condition, 80k miles with service history and had various item changes you would expect - sus air bags, sensors, EGR, De cat pipe, AT2 tires, It's all black in and out.

the reas0n only 1 bag is going up is on you compressor tray under th car you will find a block of selenoids you will find that one of these has stuffed up and it will be leaking air out through what looks like the electrical plug check by spraying soapy water all over the selinoids unfortunatley they are non replaceable you will have to buy a complete compressor totally solved my problems

I had the ride height sensor re set by a chap with an autologic, sadly he did not have the time to site there and clear all the other fault codes caused by my fuse pulling.

I am confident the sensors, bags and valves including compressor are all ok as nothing has gone down or gone wrong since but I need to get the lights off the dash and get the up and down button working.

Any short cuts to get air in the bag greatfully accepted. Also if any re set options are available?

Check compressor fuse in engine bay box, then fit a new compressor. Valves are integral part of comp assembly.

Chances are, it's the airbag fooked. I know it's new, but even new ones fail. Mine was under 2 yrs old & failed in under 2 weeks, new one sorted it.

I think it's fixed!

A new abs modulator, bleed and code clearing has cured it!

Expensive, even second hand but at least its fixed. Now all I need to sort is the door lock, leaky s roofs, front discs, head oil leak, thirst for diesel and all the other niggles.

In the meatime I will spend 200 quid on my 300tdi and double its value and keep it sweet.

Spoke too soon.....

£700 quids worth of "fix" and within 60 miles its back to nothing working and all lights on etc. I am now going to break it and sell all the parts out of spite. Anyone needing parts for a facelift 03 auto es give me a shout.
It has:

4xDVD screens in seats
VGC general grabber at2s fitted on 18inch rims
De cat pipe
Re map ecu
Black leather interior - imaculate
Black body shell - imaculate
new suspsension and sensors all round
new abs modulator etc

I'll have your aircon cooling fan if it's going spare....

And the rear view mirror if it's got the compass on it....

And the black screw thingys that hold the lower windscreen trim down, one of mine's gone missing...

whats the going rate?

I've just looked on ebay at a few various parts and it's given me an idea. I am going to price up the parts that are desirable from breakers and ebay etc and then I shall let you know when they go on ebay. From my calculations i will get more for the car than if i sell it whole.
