Hi, have been reading this site since early last year before I took the plunge and bought me RR Vogue 4.6 2001, had no real probs until now and its not even a major issue but some nice kind spirited git drove into the front of my car on new years eve and scratched the hell out of the front bumper, no other damage to mine but broken amber glass all over the road. Does anyone know of a way to get rid or try to disguise the marks? It really makes a stunning car now look rough.

Cheers for your help.

All depends on the depth of scratches, give it a good clean first to assess the damage, if it's just surface try a scratch remover or cutting paste otherwise it might be a paint job :-(

Plastic bumpers are an arse - you can get bumper repair kits. I suppose you could try fine wet and dry to smooth it out and see if that helps

It sounds like live with it or new bumper cos some plank cant drive. You wouldn't believe me if I told you, it was parked on my patio on a private lane with just the front nose sticking out were the number plate goes and the muppet still manages to clobber it, still if it was the mrs car it would be a complete new front !!!!!!!!! tough ol' things these rangies.

Had a quick look there but they seem worse than mine:doh:. I'll have to have a word with a friendly body repair bloke I know.

Mate bought a Corsa with all 4 corners of the black plastic bumpers really badly scratched - had one of the mobile scratch and dent guys repair it and looks like new - well worth the money.

Very much a 'try at your own risk' type of thing... but I know of someone who improves this type of damage by passing a hot air gun over the scuff, after trimming off the raised parts with a razor blade.
This also gives an instant back-to-black effect that doesn't fade in a couple of days!
I'd only try this as a last resort though.

I bought a repair kit from Halfrauds, with 3 very fine brushes in 3 bottles for each step, filler, paint , gloss.. I missed step one for deep gouges & just used the paint.. Looks ok, prob would look fantastic if i used the kit as it was designed... Touched up my bumpers and mirrors...
