Hi,

Have read that you need minimum of 130 amps to weld Land Rovers.

This seems high to me, it would be fine if you want to weld the chassis.
But i just want to weld in some new footwells, so im thinking even 100amps would be enough, as the bulkhead is a lot thinner.

Do you think ill be ok with 105 amp Mig, i only want it for this job then ill sell it on, so instead of spending loads, It will cost much less.

Any help/idea/thoughts on this?

Thanks,

Biosbill

Get an experienced welder to weld it and then you won't need to worry about amps, buying and selling a welder, and how to fill in the bloody big holes you blasted in the steel because (like me) you aren't much of a welder!
