right came to the part in my resto today were i was going to try and cut out and replace this

instead of trying to fabricate the sill myself does any one know where i can buy a pre-fabricated piece that will do the job.
having got the tools to fabricate it at home

or if any fabricators on here have made some before ill be interested in a purchase

also ive seen the blanking piece that yrm do but would like it if i could keep the vent, seen a landy with the vents blanked and it aint pretty

came to this today whilst tacking in the new drivers side footwell got the grinder to it previous owner had used filler on it (done a **** job aswell).
i have yet to be able to remove the window screen to inspect the rest of the rust - the nuts are some what rusted to the bulkhead bracket. started to drill out the bolt but destroyed my drill bits in the process.
i was going to just fabricate some sheet across the whole of the vent, but would like to try an keep the vent, if all else fails i might just take some measurements and go to a fabricators and get them to do the bends for me, or once ive managed to remove the window screen ill cut a section thats not too rusty out an tell the fabricators to do us a meter of that.

ive just tack welded the drivers footwell in today, gonna seam weld it tomorrow if the weathers permitting. i replaced the passengers side in november just before all that bad weather we had.
and as for the door tops mines got push handle defender doors on it, slight surface rust on the bottoms but easily sorted with the jenolite ive got.
going to have to take a blow torch and hammer to the windscreen to try and loosen the hinge up wd40 doesnt work.
perks of buying a landy thats been off road on a farm since 2004

not easy when the hinge bolts have rusted to the hinge. in the proces of drilling the bolts to remove the hinge. gonna get some gas for me burner next week n take the flame an a hammer to it to ease it apart.
gonna be fun to see what lurks under the windscreen
