I've just been digging around in the source PDF files for Microcat and found this.

I think that's when they updated Microcat! That's as far as I've got I'm afraid.

There's some other stuff too like engine numbers and axle assemblies fitted in what years.....if you're interested...
Shows mine was built June 2000, it was first registered November 2000, so they weren't quick sellers:rolleyes:
 
Mine was the 500th to be made of the month (only 852 made that month) and was registered within 2-3 weeks.

I'm not sure, most '02 P38's i see are generally high spec.

On an episode of top gear they did a bit on RR aftee the L322 came out and you could get a full bells and whistles P38 for about 40k.

Rule of thumb was never buy a new model of anything untill its proved itself

My thoughts exactly. Would never buy a new production model. Ok if new i guess as covered by warranty.
I got a little stung with mine though as my philosophy was get the end of model run year to ensure most gremlins have been ironed out. Trouble is, the last runs often used up obsolete parts up...mine had 2 pin diffs for instance, which now of course have failed & replaced with 4 pins. I wonder what else they bodged on the last runs?

Does anyone know what the difference for the front axle of the MY1998 (94L) cars was? Mine's an MY1998.

Also, here you can see if you've had a factory replacement engine or not.
