Mornin all, I was messin around my landy today with the engine runnin, every few seconds there was a chirping sound from the engine. What do u reckon it is?

PAS belt slipping. Try putting some talc on it.

Fookin does work anorl!...but it's really only a temporary solution, you might also try sanding the belt if it's slipping but f thats the problem, the only real thing is to change it.

So ya all fink it's the belt then? It sounded like it was coming from that area, I also thought it might have been the water pump bearing. (if it has one?!?)

If you put talc on the belt and the squeak stops, then that's what it is. It's probly the most likely cause, but at least doing that eliminates one if it isn't!
