broken down near erskine bridge have found out I need a set of 300tdi push rods if anybody can help it's my mates defender please please please call us on if u know where I can buy a Set

Was driving behind my mate seen a cloud of white smoke follows by black smoke

Right lads
Found a set on our way to get them panic over
Landrover's as I said many times it's sickness with out a cure

Ok update
Got new push rods
Pulled the timing belt cover and guess what belt f***** only 250 miles on the belt
Looks like it ride forward and shredded
Waiting on the recovery truck long way back to the Emerald Isle

Possibly incorrectly fitted tensioner

Sometimes wear on fuel pump allows pulley to run out of true, and belt wanders forward and shreds

Yes it turns out my mate fitted the new belt knowing the bearing in the fuel injection pump was wobbling and the belt wandered alright
Aye well lessons lesson learn't

TBH we meet some really helpful people today all of them Landrover men and also the wee mechanic from the RAC absolutely a gem of a man
