broken bonnet clip

Hi all

put rangie on battery charge. just been out to take off charge and crack the plastic clip to open bonnet has snapped. I have tried to pull open remaining clip with mole grips but no success. it has been snowing where i live and the car is very iced up. passanger doors will not open due to ice.
could this bee why the bonnet will not open?

How do i open the bonnet?? i can not drive car to garage as battery charger is under bonnet. dam.

Un-plug the charger and start the engine. When it warms up it should thaw the cable allowing you to pull the cable ends with a mole grip

or get some warm/hot water. i use it on the locks when they froze up!

I closed the bonnet with the electric charger cable squashed over the side of the bonnet. could this be the reason the bonnet will not open because of a thick wire adding pressure resistance.

could be get someone to rest on the bonnet a little!

just been out to try and open bonnet, got the drivers side loose i can lift corner of bonnet a little bit, but passanger side stuck firm. any more tips please

Do a search on here, there was a thread a few weeks ago, IIRC a guy screwed a hook into a short brush handle and pulled the release from underneath. You're lucky that its the driver side one that opened, there is alot more room around the passenger side one.
