Breathers

I want to get some extended axel breathers for my 72 RRC.

I found these on ebay:

LANDROVER RANGE ROVER ultimate wading kit BREATHER KIT on eBay (end time 10-Dec-10 12:38:07 GMT)

But dont like the sound of a "push fit" if there is a thread on my axel casing I would rather use it.

Anyone know of any better ones?

Or have any experience of these?

I've used pushfit on disco and defender breathers and never had problems the fittings are designed for use with compressed air lines so the zero PSI pressures created by axles int gonna bother em.

But yes the axle is threaded where the banjo bolt goes in. . and youu can buy a Male threaded elbow but other end is pushfit??

They come with 90º elbows that screw into the axles etc, you "push fit" the plastic tube into the other end of the elbow. we've used this type for years in industry.

Push fit fittings are used on the P38 air suspension and withstand over 160 psi. They are also widely used in compressed air systems in industry and are well proven. Being plastic they will not corrode and should give trouble free service.

I got a bag of 20 2 into 1 connectors for £5 and 30mtr of piping for nuffer fiver. done both landies and still got loads of fitting and pipes left.

you only need 3 2 into 1's to and 1 straight connector to do full vehicle.
