Iv just fitted a safari snorkel to my defender 90 TD5 iv made a manifold with 5 pneumatic fittings and put in breather pipes from the axles, the gear box and the transfer box where else do i need to run them from.iv seald the ECU unit in an elatrical box is there any other point I need to look at befor going deep.

timing cover? not sure if you should have a vent for the ECU. have you fitted wading plugs? another thing you could do is have a leccy switch to turn off your fan when your wading.

Aye wot Griff sed. Wading plugs in timing cover & bellhousing & if as you say yer actually 'going deep' check the seals on your snork by sticking something over the end. the injun should stall. If not, it leaks.

Oh aye, s'Td5 innit. 'Oles all over the bleedin' things.

Mine's an' 88' RR V8 (probably!), but mated to a III gearbox & int got a bellhousing breather 'ole at all! Lekky fan though which is handy, when I remember to switch it off!

thanks for the replys.had a look and cant see the timing cover breather I think the one in the pic is a 300 tdi.ill look into the plugs.
