Break Light Flashing

Hi All
I am new to this tinternet forum stuff ,and playing with my defender. My Break light is flashing every now and then , when im going down steep inclines . I have looked at the break fulid leval and this is up to its correct leval. i am not to sure wheer to look next . the car beaks fine and does not pull to one side , or make any funney noises.!!!!! Whear do i look next. cheers Paul

Hi and welcome suggest you try your brake light switch if it is sited near to your brake pedal possible pedal is dropping slightly under its own weight when you are going down hill.Just back the switch off a bit so it brings brake lights on when pedal is pushed further down [may be your answer]
