So having ordered some exhaust sections hope they are right, but at the very least I have new pipe and will make it work.
Next job is brakes they do work but:( ,the rear discs don’t look pretty. MOT showed weak rear (good enough to pass but!!),although even across axles so think calipers are ok. If calipers turn out to not be that good I can at least refitted and use while I order some new.

So have searched and looked around. The best I can come up with for a number is LRO 17951 and 17953.
(From Craddocks) from what I can tell all def 90 use same disc? I don’t need anything fancy standard is good enough.
I will be ordering pads, disc & caliper bolts, pins. But would like any advice on if I should consider any other parts, due to any problems I might encounter.(I have the skinned knuckles covered:))
Parts here are not easy ,unless main stealer prices and they would probably still have to order. I just don’t want to get the wrong bits (as return is even more of a pain) and make sure I am not short something small.
Also not sure any “special tools”, ( have hammer and back up bigger hammer)

I am ordering for a rarely seen 2.0l MPI 1996 def 90. Am hoping the basis of this does turn out to be a normal 1996 def.
So any advise before I order a few quids worth of bits is very welcome :)

Thanks j

I cannot help with if there are any differences with your specific model but I would expect the underpinnings to be a standard 90. However, I would say that if the calipers turn out to be suspect I would refurbish them using stainless pistons and genuine seals rather than replace them.

rear discs will be ftc1381
there are lot of numbers for the same pad as its the same as rear disco 1 and rrc ,sfp000150 if your pads are retained by split pins which yours should be,retainer kit stc8574 is worth getting too

@jamesmartin I was hoping you would pop along and help, and did see you quote those numbers in another thread I had been researching. So thanks for the confirmation and the numbers. So I see the number you have given does cross ref the number I had, so that said if I need to do the fronts then ftc7329 should be the right number.
I will take you advice on the fitting kit thanks again.

@dag019 I will be considering that depending on condition, but in my experience calipers need to be in pretty bad shape before a rebuild is not possible, and as parts are readily available I would go the rebuild route. Thanks.

I will get it in garage over pit on the weekend and get a couple of wheels off for a closer look and see if I can get any numbers of calipers and try assess condition,to ensure I have a normal 90 running gear ( I believe so). Then get bits coming this way.

Then watch this space as the fun begins:)

Thanks again guys.

This. IMHO the only new calipers worth having are AP Lockheed - but they are far too expensive. New SS pistons and genuine seals are way better and you'll not need to touch them again - I get my stuff from Paddocks mainly - a bit cheaper than Craddocks IME....

Haven’t decided who will get the business yet, but I need all the parts from 1 supplier and they need to be reasonable on there postage cost. And as always some don’t like to send here:(.
But must say suppliers are getting better about where they post, a dam sight better than they were 10years ago.

I used Island for the exhaust bits as they had Both sections and other bits, and were reasonable with the shipping.

Need to get my shopping list together and then flex the plastic:)
