Hey guys,

So.. I've got rear discs (not drums) on my def 90, it has a nice mix of a 200/300tdi parts.. T valve to the PRV..

I'm struggling to find a new PRV for the brake lines, NRC8215 (https://www.lrworkshop.com/parts/NRC8215)..

Does anyone have any ideas where I can locate one or is there something I can replace it with in it's place?

Thanks in advance

@dag019 had 1 he didn’t use (on a 110) it was something I posted but can’t remember if it was that 1. Or the reasoning behind it, but you may not need it. But I would have to look back why.

Thanks any advice is needed at this point as I have braided hoses which go to it but replacements are none existing.

From what I can understand the 200tdi had rear drums that was for the PRV? But I have rear discs now.. so yeah any direction is grateful

I do indeed have one I didn’t use. But i think it is a 110 bias valve. So not sure if it will be any use for the op. Someone with more expiriance will have to weigh in. It is part number: ANR1415. I did not need it because I fitted a later model master cylinder and have rear discs So it was not required but think you need one for a 90 regardless of setup but am not sure which part number or what the differences are.

Attaching pictures for reference.. just snipped the thing out as I have got a braided line kit ready to go in...

Two pipes from master cylinder;
1 to the T piece which does front discs LH + RH
1 to the valve which goes to the Rear T

Attached is the brake line kit I have, obviously this doesn't have the T as the output from the master cylinder is only 2 pipes.

So I can make this kit work just need this valve or something to go in instead..?

So based off what I've read I can do a bias valve upgrade?
- NTC8836 valve
- LR013018 master cylinder

Correct me if I'm wrong, can anyone find how this valve is mounted? I can't find any images / part numbers :/

Im sure I have a new NTC8836 in my parts collection, bought fitted then stripped the project for parts.

Can you see anything wrong with me just upgrading to the latest valve + master? NRC8215 is not a valve that can be found on the market it seems. So rather just upgrade if that's the case.

I was thinking about this earlier, the only difference I can think of is shoes/ drums to pads/discs. I was wondering if vehicle
weight or towing weights would be an issue. If it was mine id fit the latter part & take it to local fast fit/mot station for a brake
check an see how it goes.

Well once I'm finished with this one it's going for a MOT so I guess it's a chance.. do we know if the servo is the same across 200/300 etc?

I kept my servo of the V8 when I rebuilt mine. Also used the same valve. Now got disk all round and no problems, you may find they lock up easier(if no weight in motor) but I used to tow a lot and it helped.

As you say go for the mot things are easy to change once you pass

I had another look, Yes the 90 with discs has the valve (whatever its called ) the 110 doesn't.

I also looked at mine a 96, it is situated on the passenger side bulk head quite low down, Looks like the 8836 one, remember mine is LHD.
I assume ;) its because the front to back line runs down that side, but have no idea if it is the same on the RHD

I also have the 3 port master.

But to be honest it could be mounted wherever is convenient really. The dia on rover north (think) shows LHD but also seems to show the valve maybe mounted on the bulkhead on the top where the lines cross from 1 side to the other.

Difference between the 2 masters, I dont know.

Appreciate the picture!

I've just ordered them both to arrive tomorrow so we will see if it all fits together!

I don't have to worry about bending new brake lines.. just got that nice flexible braided line kit ready to go in and remove all the copper!

I suppose the lines would give a clue as to where the valve would go when you run them.
