It's very wet looking grease. Almost as though some diff oil has got into the swivel. Changing from oil to grease almost completely stopped my swivel leak.

Its grease....trust me...as an Aeronautical Design Engineer, I know the difference :D:D:D
If you are an Aeronautical Design Engineer then you will know all about preventative, and out of phase, maintenance requirements - now all you have to do is put the theory into practice - on your landy!!! :D:D (I'm also an aircraft engineer )

It is getting there...only had it a 2 months, so slowly working through a list of 'things to be done'....

Have already:
Replaced Ignition switch
Replaced all Coils and Shocks along with mounting plates and retainers
Replaced Front Calipers, Pads and Discs
Replaced Rear cylinders and Shoes
Replaced Master Cylinder
Replaced Clutch Master and Slave
Replaced Radiator
Replaced Glow Plugs
Removed 'Spider' unit

So we are getting there....

I studied Aircraft Engineering at ND and HND, I also attained my City and Guilds in Aeronautical Engineering Competences (9 elements), I then went on to a BEng in Aerospace Design Engineering and finally my Masters in Aeronautical and Aerospace Design Engineering with a bias to Gas Turbine theory(I was trying to hide away and not get a proper job for as long as possible :D)......

I graduated in November 2001 right after 9/11 and the world had fallen out of the Aircraft market and no-one was looking for Design Engineers....so I went on to design components for CNC machines, then specialist wheelchairs for users and athletes.....then a friend of mine said a position has opened up in a company that designs, manufactures, services and maintains Aircraft Components and GSE.....so I now spend my time designing Aircraft Tooling, Gas Turbine Ancillary Components and GSE.....oh and browse LZ when I am bored!! Not quite the NASA dream I was hoping for....but n'er mind

That's just a weekly service for some peoples landys !! :D:D

image.jpeg image.jpeg Bugger me, mine gets a set to once a year unless i break it, and that is normally just before MOT time.
However mine has been on the ramp for a couple of weeks.

Got carried away with rear seals now got heater box out and new seats waiting to be fitted with old ones out.

On the subject of brakes, i did find out why mine were needing pumping once to stop, despite adjusting them.

Bloody adjusters had popped out of the shoes.

Check out the mod,
Good luck with the seals did mine and polished the swivels up as they had some rust
