I have a 1997 P38 2.5. Had all the pads changes last year and replaced the accumulator 6 months ago.

Been no problem with the brakes, passed the MOT fine.

Over the last few days the brakes have started to feel spongey. So I checked the Brake fluid level. From the outside the level looked OK but when I opened the cap to check inside their was a lot of hissing noise coming out. Level was fine looking in so, started the car again and brakes were back to normal. Is there a vent thats blocked or is there something else wrong?

Maybe the cap vent is blocked. Make sure it is clear.
