I'm replacing the rotors all around and I want to make sure that I get the right seals and lock washers for the Defender 90, 300tdi.

First, are there any kits sold on English sights which include the two bearings, drive member joint washer, lock washer, and grease seal or do I have to buy them separately? The U.S distributors make us buy each item separately.

Second, do I only need the drive member joint washer, lock washer, and grease seal, and two new bearings when replacing the rotors???

much appreciated everyone.

paddocks and craddocks in fact most uk based suppliers sell full wheel bearing kits for your motor, the kit has everything you need for replacing each hub but if your current bearings are ok why mess, just fit new discs and reset the old bearings repack with grease and refit, ok maybe a fresh grease/oil seal and fresh locknut, just use RTV silicon on the drive hub mating face and the jobs done.

the reason i say this is with new hub bearings there is always that time period at the beginning where you need to adjust them every few weeks or so until they are bedded in, if it can be avoided then why not?

I did not know that you had to adjust them for a few weeks until they are in place. I'll just keep the old ones in there then and repack with new grease.

thanks very much for the response

bearings are best bought as bearings as kits tend to be pattern parts ,rtc3429g is number for bearing ,ftc4685 seal ,ftc3179 lock tab ,if you just remove freeplay with first nut (bearing in mind seal will give some resistance as you adjust nut by hand )tighten of second nut gives enough preload so that it doesnt require further adjustment when run in
