Brake Servo bolts

I don't think you do, I'm pretty sure its a rolled seam joint (raining outside so not going to look). New servo unfortunately, looks like you have corrosion on the other studs so not really worth the risk of using it with just three or the chance of introducing swarf if you tried drilling / tapping a hole.I was taking the brake servo off the brake pedal box to paint it up, but one of the 4 bolts sheared off.
How do I get into the servo to replace the bolt?

Clean up the threads left and drill out or easy out the snapped stud.
Tap and die set needed.

For the sake of what is a safety related system, why not get a new one.

I've just replaced mine last week. It was working, but I wasn't convinced it was 100% It cost £75.12 from local LR independent. I agree with neilly in that some things are just not worth repairing. If the worst case scenario happens you'll be right up the creek.

I did the same 4 weeks ago , mine cost £58 , although the prices do seem to vary greatly , so worth shopping around if you have time. Not sure if the same as the OP's ( That would have been your TRW red box in your garage then before you cleaned it

I could probably have got one cheaper off ebay. I like to support the local inde, so long as they are not way over the top. I went in the other day to ask about an aux belt tensioner. They wanted £75 for a Dayco one I'd seen earlier on ebay for £39.99. Drill and tap a hole and save £75.12, I know what i would do.
The servo has an air valve system inside which bleeds vacuum to provide the pedal assistance. If you get swarf in there then there is the chance that the valve could fail and you would lose servo assistance (and sods law says it will happen when you need it most!).Drill and tap a hole and save £75.12, I know what i would do.

You got it, and bought an anchor for emergencies.....I just throw it out of the gap in the top of the door!!!
On a serious note, my vote is for a new servo.......last thing you want is a brake failure.
