Brake Pipe - How much?

Heard good things about Kunifer brake pipe. Should have measured the old pipe when I stripped it off

Does anyone know how many feet/metres I will need to buy to replace all pipes on a 300TDi 90?

cunifer is good for long runs copper for complicated bends, it comes in reel that will have more than you need

I've seen 25ft rolls, James. Is that a standard roll? I would have thought that would be enough, but thought I would ask the question.
Does Kunifer not bend that well?

yes std , it bends but not as easy as copper ,cunifer is fine though

Ok, marra. (Geordie for mate) I'll buy 25ft. Is it just stiffer and so harder to bend or does it kink and collapse?
Do you agree with the view that it lasts much longer than straight copper?

cunifer is stiffer both will fold if your not careful with bends ,copper though you can do with your fingers , both will last a long time or till you need to undo in which case they will bind in fitting and twist pipe as you undo it

That's interesting, because a mechanic I know told me Kunifer lasts forever but is a lot worse for binding in unions etc. Is the extra longevity of Kunifer worth it? Is Kunifer worse for binding or just the same as copper?

copper lasts as well, unlike factory steel pipes both dont rot quickly ,but binding is an issue for both ,but the cost of a roll its easy to make a new pipe a few years down the road it needed
