Hi all, changed the brake pads using a new fitting kit on the front of my 96 disco at the weekend and found the pistons to be a little stiff so cleaned them up and got them moving fine. The thing is now theres alot of rattling comin from the o/s/f wheel when driving. i did notice that when i cleaned up the caliper there was alot of rust came of it. Has anyone else had this problem?

Check yer nuts ... Wheel nuts, that is! ;)

When I replace pads I always use a light smear of Copaslip grease on the backs of them, and on the pins and springs.

Sometimes depends on whos pads u are using some manufactures "cheepy" need ant-rattle shims as well. Dont know why they can't be all the same, EBC or genuine parts dont need then.
But then calipers do wear out so require replacing.
