Just a small query, I'm fitting new pads and discs to my freelander was just wondering what way does the chamfer go on the pads, do they go facing forward or reverse, the reason i ask is that mines were so far down that I couldn't see the chamfer, please advise.

Cheers Alan. :)

Normally in the direction of rotation, its to stop the disc picking up on an edge. Give them a smear of copaslip to stop them siezing up on the back of them.

The OEM pads have markings on the side - RO and RI for right outboard and inboard, LO & LI for left outboard and inboard.

You'll see that the camfers aren't symmetrical.

Cheers
