I have a 2009 Range HSE Sport and i am going to attempt to change the front pads on her . Looking for advise on how to do it i dont know if it is easy or not please help :rolleyes::rolleyes::croc:

a £100 for front pads, wtf are they made of,i would **** my pants if my pads were that dear,i won't be buying one of those.

Think he meant having it in a garage to get them changed. But £25.00 for pads and an hours labour at £75.00 does sound a bit steep. God i wish i still had my garage.:D:D:D

Who says a cant afford it just looking for a bit of advice

Ok, changing pads is very easy. A least it is for me i have done thousands of them. But brakes are not something you play with unless you have at least some idea of what you are doing. Unless you have a death wish. If your just fancying having a tinker the brake system is not the place to start believe me.

I have done loads of brakes in the past just wondering if these require any special tool or is it straight forward

Take the wheel off and have a look.

As you're experienced with brakes, you'll soon see if you have the correct tools.

I've heard very modern costly cars require plugging into dealer machines to reset them for the silliest of reasons, obviously to keep them in business and discourage DIYers.

I have no idea but removing the pad sensor could trigger something that needs to be reset. Perhaps find out.

I don't have this problem as my car is 9 years old. lol
