I just managed to fix the ABS modulator and got the 3 Amigoes back in action!

Now this has lead to another issue ! now on full lock to the right i have front left locking up, I can hear the modulator working and feel the front left braking.... When I unplug the sensor and do full lock it doesn't break but there is a slight knocking noise . So i figure something is playing with the sensor, could it be wheel bearing, I have seen some people suggest its the VCU.... I hope not !

I just replaced the right wheel bearing as it was very tired and had loads of play on it, but didnt do left cause it did not seem too loose, now its is squeaking a bit...

Whats your Take on it ?

Just a thought .. do you have larger tyres with MT or more aggressive? They might be hitting the radius arms, check for signs of rubbing and adjust lock stops to suit. ;).

Yes that's sound advise, Although I kept the same width tires as was on there 235x70 16R
When I unplug the sensor the issue goes away, im pretty sure I can here the modulator and can feel the front left braking.

The Traction Control system works by braking any wheel that is running faster than the other three, while the ABS does the reverse, it releases/modulates the wheel that is turning slower than the other three (It can be more than one wheel that is out of sync)

In your case it seems like the system is responding in Traction Control mode, possibly activated by the additional knocking from the tyre or whatever.

The braking mode in Traction Control is different to that in normal ABS mode.

Did you use quality hub? Cos some cheap hubs have less teeth on the reluctor ring then the TC is mixed up and kicks in too early. Unplugging the sensor disables it that's why it cures it

Yes its defiantly the traction control working because that wheel is moving faster, was just curious if a loose wheel bearing could cause issues with the wheel speed sensor.

The hub on the left I have not replaced yet, it does squeak a bit and have a little play so Il get a new one.
I did replace the right one last month with a Britpart and seems to be working well.

Ok cool, thats what i was hoping for! Nice easy fix !
Will post again once i have changed the bearing !

Thanx again!

UPDATE, front left hub replaced...
Inside bearing was extremely tired, outside bearing had been replaced hence it didn't seem to bad when i jacked the wheel up to check the play in the bearings. However this has not sorted the issue.... :(
I can still hear the modulator working and feel the car slowing .... I have read a few articles now on here and seems it could be Diff or VC, any ideas how i could try diagnose the issue without taking things apart ?

What kind of hub? the same with the other?...also make sure that the tyre pressures are the same provided the tyres are evenly worn

I see front left a little flat, will get it pumped up...
I did find some videos on how to test the VC, some tested back and some the front, these were my results:

Jacked front left Not in gear, Wheel turns with very little effort
Jacked Back left Not in gear, Wheel turns with very little effort

The two hubs are different, one is "all makes" other Brit Parts... please let that not be the issue !

If the last fitted is the allmakes better remove the sensor, make a sign on one and count the reluctor ring's teeth cos i've seen chinese hubs supplied by allmakes with that problem i told in a previous post as they have 55 reluctor teeth instead of 60 then it's nomal for the TC to kick in cos there is different speed input at the same wheel speed

Seems Luck is on my side :)
Just back from inflating tires... front left 1 Bar less..... now they are the same and instantly issue is gone !

Once again you have saved the day !

Quick update on this, So things defiantly got better after inflating the tires, But seems the SLABS was the issue.
Put in a new second hand SLABS and its now working perfectly, I did have some minor issues with the Self leveling, because I have coil springs installed the new SLABS was looking for the Air Suspension - Used the hawkeye to select Coil springs in the menu under chassis.
