Just a really quick question and im probably gonna regret askin it. How bendalbe are the brake lines on the back of a 90. Ive clipped somthin and put a bit of a bend in it and dnt wanna bend it back if its gonna snap. is an 1989 model and as far as im aware they r the original brake lines. Thanks

Don't - especially if it's kinked I did mine yesterday and the pipe snapped clean off - anyone know what size pipe and unions are needed to replace?

thats wot i was affrid of and they arnt new by any means. Ill leave it its not causing any problems atm so not worth the risk.

If you get the right size pipe and a flare kit you can do them yourself. Its actually very easy and dare i say it... enjoyable! get some spare olives and unions to suit and your laughing. cheaper and more custom fitted than off the shelf rubbish.

fuk mwe griff its not house plumbing lol, your local motorfactor will do everthing you need the tools are quite expensive tho, copper brake pipe is easier to form bends in but is weaker than copper nickel, but it is slightly cheaper, if it was me (and it has been) i would buy a pack of unions and a pack of pipe, cut the pipe to length with a pipe cutter like this and get them flared by a local garage for a couple of quid

its all sounding a lil expensive and a lot of hassle considerin its nt urgent. its not a sharp bend so wouldnt of thort it wood ov made it weaker

Brakes either work properly or they dont. They are the only thing that stop your motor when you need to unless you carry an anchor.
It's no good wondering why you've just crashed off the road, or worse, because your "damaged" brake pipe let go at a crucial moment. You'd be surprised at the pressure generated in the hydraulic pipe when you step on the pedal.
What price safety? You're not talking hundreds of pounds to do it properly. Get a flaring kit for about £25 and some pipe and do it yourself. The upside is that when you need to do the other pipes you've already got the kit. Charge you mates beer tokens to do theirs and you're quids in before to long. Its how most of us have acquired our toolkits over the years.
