Hi have just got the freelander td4 2.0 2006 offside rear brake light does not come on when pressing brake pedal and side light goes off have checked fuses bulb holder and put new bulb in still nothing any ideas thanks

That's most likely the be an earth fault. There's an earth wire to the lamp assembly, which earths to the body inside the boot side panel, on the same side as the lamp with the issue. It's not unheard of for corrosion to cause this issue.
