BRAKE BIAS VALVE REAR DRUM BRAKE 90 DEFENDER

Hi all
I have a problem with my 1990 defender 90 brake bias valve and need to source another. They are not available and if one was its £180!! Can I replace this with anything else i.e. a more modern one?
