Hey guys,

One of the cables has snapped on the boot window. So it no longer goes up and down. Can anyone advise where is best to get replacement cables. Is it a straight forward job? Any tips or things to watch out for?

Thanks

Will

EBay complete regulator is best option I think. Cables can be replaced but there is a knack to getting them on
I'd say around fifteen pounds price, easy enough to change

Just try to get the window dropped about 6 inches before you start as you will struggle to reach the clamp bolts holding the glass if it is fully up. If necessary cut the remaining cable and move manually.

From memory the only issues are removing the connections for heated screen as they can break unless you can wedge the window up so it won't drop when undone from the clamps. Make sure it doesn't fall down!
The adjuster is a double threaded bolt in the middle that uses an Allen key to hold in place.
There's a cable from one side to the other, make sure the window doesn't catch it when going down.
And getting the old regulator out of the hole in the door, it does come out with plenty of wiggling, swearing and tongue in the right position.
Once done enjoy the dropping of the window this summer for a nice cool breeze.
